pop yer camping cherry 2010
13-14th March, linwater campsite, Ratho, near Edinburgh
This year cherry was held on the second weekend in March at Linwater campsite www.linwater.co.uk/ this is a nice we site and the lady who runs things is very friendly to VW peeps.
Weather was much improved on last years storms and everyone was excited to be getting out thier vans and going camping
we were still rebuilding pootles interier at midnight on friday after his small winter resto so were super excited to get back out there in our nice shiny bus
the army turned out in force and everyone began catching up and sharing stories of this years MOT issues. As the sun began to set it was time to put up the gizbo , fire up the bbq and open a bottle of toffee apple cider, the good times roll !!
The party rolled into the early hours and as last year it was the usual suspects ray, alex and steven setting the world to right with a bottle of whisky
Sunday seen the campervanarmy's first show n shine where all vans were entered automatically and received 1st prize in there own special category and were presented with a small rosette. Then all the members stood beside there choice for best in show and the winners where announsted, first prize went to alaster and this 87 syncro and second prize went to alex and eva the spilt window super modified, winners received campervanarmy T shirts
